MIGORI COUNTY POLITICS


Migori is a partially cosmopolitan county, we have a larger percentage of the Luo community, a sizeable number of Kuria, Abaluhya, Abagusii, Maasai, Domali, Tanzanian, Indians, Kikuyus, Akamba, Aembu and other communities living and performing various business transactions in the County.
To manage such a county, a leader is required to be a mentor and a performer.
Governor Okoth Obado has been the glue that binds all the communities together through cohesion and peaceful coexistence. This has been achieved majorly by distributing the resources equally in all the regions.
Migori town has flourished and the number of banks, Supermarkets, schools, hospitals and industries has been on the increase.
Bursary allocation and sponsorship to bright students just to mention but a few.
Governor Obado deserves his final term to complete the development projects he initiated.

Vivo Management Still Panicking about Jeopardized Brand

While there has been pomp and fanfare over the selection of Polycarp Igathe as the running mate for Senator Mike Sonko’s gubernatorial bid, Vivo Energy is suffering immediate brand backlash following the stunt Sonko pulled of visiting its offices to introduce his choice for deputy governor. In a letter dated Tuesday May 16 to the staff members at Vivo Energy, Polycarp Igathe stated: "I have been invited by the Jubilee Party to stand alongside Hon. Mike Sonko Mbuvi as his running mate during the August 8 elections. I discussed the invitation to run for public office with Christian Chammas. Benjamin Washiali the major Jubilee mandarin in Mumias is at the heart of the sugar crisis that has befallen farmers.
